We are sad to announce that on March 26, 2024, at the age of 79, Katherine Mary Sliter (Auburn, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Madeline Sliter, and William Sliter, Sr.; her former life partner Joseph E. Nedza; her husband Eugene E. Smith; her sisters, Sharon Smith and Hollis Butler; and her brothers-in-law, John Greene and Joseph Smith.

She is survived by : her siblings, William Sliter (Barbara) and Eunice Greene; her children, Penny Bower, Jeffrey Nedza (Kathleen), Trixie Smith and Lewis Smith; and her close friend Elizabeth Young. She is also survived by 7 step-children, 14 grandchildren, a multitude of great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Scipio Volunteer Fire Department (3550 Route 34, Scipio Center, NY 13147).
