She was predeceased by : her parents, Martin Kierst and Dorothy Kierst (Grimm); her husband Gerald; and her grandson Luke David Moniz. She is survived by : her daughters, Darcy Koziol (David) and Denise Moniz (Dean); her grandsons, Nicholas, Daniel Koziol, Noah and Jack Moniz; her niece Susan; her nephews, Michael and Bobby (Sarah); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Brittany, Samantha, Kevin and McKenzie.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kathy's memory to either St. Alphonsus Food Pantry or the SPCA.
