With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sandra Merrill of Auburn, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 25, 2025 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Sandra may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sandra touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her mother Ina Hoffman-Ward; her brothers, Carl and Ricky Ward; and her close friend Henry Rouse. She is survived by: her sisters, June Hoffman and Kathy Ziggler; and her children, Robert Ward (Chrissy), Angel Bond, Rose Merrill, Willie Rouse (Latesha), Charlie Rouse, Henry Barzee and Beverly Bond. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
