With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Pysnack of Auburn, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 30, 2026 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Shirley departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Shirley may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Shirley leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her spouses, David Pysnack of Genesee Gardens and Auburn; and her parents, William Schmidt and Fern Voigt Schmidt. She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy McCarthy (Dennis McNabb) and Patty Pysnack-Weaver (Jon Henderson); and her grandchildren, Tevin Pysnack, Tyler Weaver, Steven McCarthy and Kaylyn McCarthy. She is also survived by five great grandchildren; and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
