We are sad to announce that on October 23, 2025, James W. Haenlin of Aurora, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid James farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For James is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Haenlin and Anna Haenlin. He is survived by: his son Matthieu (Erin); his grandchildren, Coco and Charlie; his sisters, Barbara Swissler (Tom) and Margaret Rickert; and his sister-in-law Ann Litke. He is also survived by his 5 nieces.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jim can be made to Hospice of Central New York and the FingerLakes, or the United Ministry of Aurora.
