She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Peter Carissimo and Assunta Carissimo (Tarantino); her husband Thomas Gillander; her sons, Peter Gillander (Megan), Brian Gillander (Beth) and Chad Gillander (Emily); her siblings, Frank Carissimo (Mary), Leonard Carissimo and Susan Earl; and her grandchildren, Alyeska, Dean, Audrey, Hugh and Eleonora.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Church (200 N James St, Rome, NY 13440). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
