He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond William and Ellen Mae Mohl Wheland; and his sister Esther Dunagan. He is survived by: his child Thomas B. Wheland (Margaret) of No; his brother Fred Wheland of Ocala, FL.; his grandchildren, Francis Goergen Jr. of Guilderland, Jennifer Carey of Mechanicville and Brittany Carey of Troy; and his great grandchild Colton Goergen.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Perry-Komdat Funeral Chapel (2691 NY-43, Averill Park, NY 12018). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.
