He is survived by: his father John McDonough; his wife Janet McDonough (Plonus); his daughters, Erin Wehrli (Kevin) and Kelly McDonough; his daughter-in-law Samantha McDonough; his grandchildren, Makenna, Brayden Wehrli, Rory and Nora McDonough; his mother-in-law Helen Plonus; his siblings-in-law, Carol Blonowicz, Barb McCarty (Steve) and Clifford Wilkinson; and his close friend Ronald Miller.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the C. H. Landers, Inc. Funeral Chapel (21 Main St, Sidney, NY 13838). A Mass was held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (32 S Main St, Bainbridge, NY 13733).
