She is survived by: her children, Matthew, Zachary and Delainey Katz; her mother Luana Schilling; her sister Kimberly Schiro (Jeffrey); and her nieces and nephews, Madison and Jackson Schiro (Russell Ritzer).

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Cecere Family Funeral Home (2283 Grand Ave, Baldwin, NY 11510). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 8:00 PM at the same location.

She was an avid NY Ranger fan and supported their charity, Garden of Dreams Foundation. She found Dr. Kenar Jhaveri who kept her kidney disease (FSGS) at bay for many years and supported nephcure.org, a non-profit kidney charity founded by the father of one of his patients.
