He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Nolan and Bernard Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Ellis (Barnell); his children, Kristen Holmquist (Kristian) of Houston, TX, Carl Holmquist (Jenn) of Arlington, VA and David Ellis (Morgan) of Virginia Beach, VA; his siblings, Suzanne Ellis of Baldwinsville and Craig Ellis (Laurie); and his stepchildren, Gary Kolodziejzyk Jr. of Syracuse, Laura Kolodziejczyk of Jamesville and Erin Matragrano (Christopher) of North Brunswick, NJ. He is also survived by four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Falardeau Funeral Home (93 Downer St, Baldwinsville, NY 13027). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (47 Syracuse St, Baldwinsville, NY 13027).
