He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Johnson (Potter); his sister Myrtle Haines; and his grandson William "Billy" Johnson. He is survived by: his children, William J. Johnson, Jr. of Oswego, NY, Stephan "Scotty" Johnson of Granby, NY, Lisa Godfrey (Ted Pittsley) of Hannibal, NY, Veronica Turner (David) of Oswego, NY and Brandi Warren (Kirk) of Anchorage, AK; and his caregiver Fe O. Whittenberg. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Maurer Funeral Home (3541 NY-31, Baldwinsville, NY 13027). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at the same location.
