He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Spurgas and Michaline Spurgas; and his siblings, Stanley Spurgas and Jane Kotarski-Morris. He is survived by: his wife Florence M. Spurgas; his children, Dr. Paul Spurgas (Deborah), David Spurgas (Kimberly) and Sharon D'Agostino (Joseph); his grandchildren, Brooke Cullinan (Ryan), Ashley Armitage (John), Reed D'Agostino, Dr. Morgan Spurgas (Jennifer) and Kalie Spurgas; and his great grandchildren, Kensington, Ashton Cullinan and Maximillion Spurgas.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Our Lady of Angels Cemetery (138 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12205).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Saratoga Rd, Glenville, NY 12302.
