He was predeceased by: his parent Osborn Ellis; his wife Bonnie Ellis; and his daughter Darci Goddard. He is survived by: his son Randall K. Ellis; his sister Karen Kelley (Bob); and his sister-in-law Peggy Bush. He is also survived by many cousins and one aunt.
