James W. Rice Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James W. Rice of Ballston Spa, New York, who passed away on October 6, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia; his brother Robert (Rice); his siblings-in-law, Stuart William and Lynn S. Merrill of Grand Rapids, MI; his niece Pamela Merrill Bohn of Grand Rapids, MI.; and his parents, Edward Rice and Mildred Rice.
He is survived by: his children, William E. Rice (Deborah) of Kansas City, MO and Sharon L. Mahoney of Ballston Spa, NY; and his grandchildren, Nathan Rice, Brandon Rice, Brian Mahoney, Cole Mahoney and Allie Mahoney.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes (628 N Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866). A requiem service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Episcopal Church (15 W High St, Ballston Spa, NY 12020).
