She was predeceased by: her parents, Mabel Burton and Herbert Burton; her daughter Shelley Lynn Merchant-Myers; and her siblings, Bernice, Mildred, Alvin, Bertrand and Evelyn.
She is survived by: her husband Ken Merchant; her son Ken Merchant (Bobbie Jo); her son-in-law David Myers Jr.; her grandchildren, David III (Colleen), Garry, Ryan (Erica), Sharron, Elizabeth, Nadia, Kai, Katelyn and John; and her great grandchildren, Zachary, Skylar, Ryan Jr., Kingsleigh, Everleigh, Sarah, Addison and Sophia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
