He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sears and Helen Sears (Baldwin); his sister Mary Chapman; and his significant other Carmen Reiff. He is survived by: his children, Leslie Crandall (Brad), Stephanie Rodick and Emily Russom (Matthew); and his grandchildren, Jack, Grace, Lilly Crandall, Thomas, John, Olivia, Josephine Rodick, Ella and Ryan Russom.
A reception will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at 4 Hemphill Pl, Ballston Spa, NY 12020. The military honors will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery (200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871).
He has always carried this experience with him and held the First Responders and service men and women dear to his heart, so it was his wish that memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation, T2T.org, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
