With solemn reverence, we commemorate Carol J. Balaz of Batavia, New York, whose life came to an end on October 3, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gardner and Mildred Wielgoszynski Gardner; and her daughter Susan. She is survived by: her children, Michele Horton (Pete) of Elba, Nicole Mustafaj (Tim) of Yonkers and Jon Balaz of Rochester; her siblings, Gail Barber of Florida, Michael Gardner of Florida and Denise Maile of Florida; her grandchildren, Kevin Horton (Brittany Johnston), Katie Horton (Pat Wall), Greg Barr (Samantha), McKenzie Barr, Avni, Alexa and Arianna Mustafaj; and her great grandchildren, Leah and Kendall.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the J. Leonard McAndrew Funeral Home (2 Bogue Ave, Batavia, NY 14020). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Resurrection Parish (303 E Main St, Batavia, NY 14020).
