He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson VanBuren and Mildred VanBuren (Townsend); his wife Norma Jean VanBuren; and his children, Martha, Ruby and Donald.
He is survived by: his children, Eric Chambers of Medina, Bobby (Becky) of Batavia, Mary Rice of Maryland, Millie Villa of Batavia and Dennis Ralph Hewston of Florida; and his son-in-law Tom Dougal of West Virginia. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a veteran's charity of the donor's choice.
