We are sad to announce that on May 16, 2024, at the age of 87, Edward W. Swanson of Batavia, New York, born in Lancaster, New York passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edward W. Swanson to pay them a last tribute.

As Edward departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Edward. Though Edward may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward J. Swanson and Wilhelmina Schmidt Swanson. He is survived by : his sisters, Susan Ahalt of Depew, Dorothy Shanks (Cortland) of South Carolina and Maxine Toot of North Carolina; his nephew William Ahalt; and his niece Pamela Park. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. Leonard McAndrew Funeral Home (2 Bogue Ave, Batavia, NY 14020). The military honors was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Hillside Cemetery.
