We are sad to announce that, on March 8, 2026, at the age of 101, Frank J. Popowich in Batavia, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Popowich and Mary Popowich (Makohan); his son Ronald Popowich; his wife Marjorie Popowich (Mielke); his sons-in-law, Leon Kransler and Robert Friedhaber; and his siblings, Anna Archetko (Popowich), Nicholas Popowich, Olga Boychuk (Popowich), Stella Luckhurst (Popowich) and Katherine Popowich.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Sherri Popowich; his daughter Martha Kransler of Caledonia; his grandchildren, Kevin Kransler (Sarah), Kathryn Ribbeck (Brian) and Sarah Michael (Patrick); his great grandchildren, Jack Kransler, Chase Kransler, Maleah Kransler, Emily Ribbeck, Andrew Ribbeck, Reid Michael and Preston Michael; his daughter Debra Friedhaber of Chili; his granddaughter Gretchen Badami (Ashir); and his great grandchild Ananda Badami. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
