He is survived by: his children, Gary Hammond (Birgitt) of Corfu and Glenn Hammond (Patricia) of Batavia; and his sisters, Hazel Hammond and Marie Skanes. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, along with many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gateway Home in Attica.
