With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Crimes of Batavia, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 10, 2026 at the age of 67. He was predeceased by: his parents, Billie Crimes and Annie Crimes (Miles). He is survived by: his wife Louzell Crimes (Gibson) of Batavia; his children, Mary Geter (Jason) of North Carolina, Kenyetta Culver of Batavia, Thomas Culver (Jessica) of Batavia, Shamika Culver of Batavia and Passiona McConnell of Batavia; and his siblings, Augustine Crimes-Fleming (Fred Behl), Mattie Crimes-Cooper (Gary) of Batavia, Charles Crimes and Anna Jean Crimes. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and very close family friends.
