He was predeceased by: his parents, Dana Potter and Charlotte Meachem Potter; and his siblings, William Potter, Ward Potter, Don Potter and Marilyn Deet.
He is survived by: his wife Manetta J. Brown Potter; his children, Sara Potter of Allegany, NY, Jason Potter of Batavia and Rhonda Kimerly (Steve) of Darien; his stepson L. Matt Landers (Melissa) of Batavia; his grandchildren, Randy, Nicole, Kris, Kaitlyn and Benjamin; his great grandchildren, Luke, Dylan and Delila; and his sister Laurie Zapf of Texas.
