He was predeceased by: his father James Meyer; and his grandmother Ruth Reckentwald. He is survived by: his mother Sheila M. Wheaton Meyer of Batavia; his daughter Breanna Peorier of South Carolina; his sisters, Janette Cipra (Paul) of East Bethany, Tanya Campbell (Daniel) of Batavia and Jessica Hewitt (Joe) of Batavia; and his nieces and nephews, Sage Hopkins, Devin Harmon, Skylar Harmon, Makayla Corkery-Meyer and Jasmine Hewitt.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Shane's name may be made to GCASA, 430 East Main Street, Batavia, New York 14020.
