He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Joseph Dickes and Marian Sarah Hoy Dickes; his siblings, Richard, Clyde, Neal, Gary, Thomas Dickes and Elaine Kaufman; and his half-brother Francis Hoy.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Boshart Dickes of Batavia; his sons, Mark Dickes (Kim) of Batavia and Todd Dickes of Penfield; his grandchildren, Alex Dickes (Taylor), Caitlyn Dickes (Seth Bouse), Andrew Dickes-Clark and Ella Dickes; his sister Lynda Dickes of Chapel Hill, NC; and his sisters-in-law, Sharon Dickes of Batavia, Sandy Dickes of Batavia, Kathy Allen (Terry) of Elba and Pam Lynch (Twilly) of Byron. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
