He was predeceased by: his parents, William S. Sutherland and Mary A. Freeman Sutherland; and his nibling Ryan Sutherland. He is survived by: his wife Melanie Montague Sutherland of Batavia; his children, Billy Sutherland (Ashley) of Batavia and Jen Forsyth (Kevin) of South Alabama; his grandchildren, Nora Ryan Forsyth and Patrick William Forsyth; his siblings, Kathleen George (Chris) of Batavia, Ann Pringle (late Corky) of Batavia, David Sutherland (Annie) of Rochester, Mary Sutherland of Batavia and Jim Sutherland (Tracy) of Batavia; his sisters-in-law, Judy Della Penna of Batavia and Wendy Pero (Charles) of Atlanta, GA.; and his pet Molly. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Wearing of a face covering and social distancing will be enforced throughout visitation and funeral service.
Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the family for distribution to various charities.
