With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy A. Baker (Bath, New York), who passed away on January 29, 2026 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Nancy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Nancy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John J. Almeter and Anna C. Almeter; her husband Donald R. Baker of East Aurora; and her son Timothy Baker. She is survived by: her sister Joan Warner of San Mateo, CA.; and her children, Margaret Baker of Hornell, NY, Michael Baker (Barbara) of Rutherfordton, NC, Patrick Baker of Grand Junction, CO, Mary Pengelley (Lambert), Kathleen Starkey (Richard) of Manitou Springs, CO and Dennis Baker (Gail) of Ehrenberg, AZ. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
