He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Cornell and Helen Cornell of Corning, NY; his wife Dorothy; his daughter Beth Cornell-Smith (Paul); and his siblings, Irene Hall, Clyde and Bob Cornell.
He is survived by: his son Rick; his granddaughters, Courtney Smith (Jennifer) and Jennifer Bent (Caleb); his great grandchildren, Ezra Bent, Jack and James Smith; and his mother-in-law Dorothy.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Centenary United Methodist Church of Bath (3 W Washington St, Bath, NY 14810).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Bath United Methodist Church or Finger Lakes SPCA in Bath.
