He was predeceased by : his parents, Edmund Newman and June Cooke Newman Baird; and his brothers, Michael and Billy Newman. He is survived by : his girlfriend JoAnne Carpino; his siblings, Mary King (Dwight), Thomas Newman (Deborah) and Glenn Baird (Kay); and his nieces and nephews, Anne Stanton (Cal), Jessica Hodge (Mike), Thomas Newman (Nicole), Allie Newman, Andrew Baird, Emily Baird and Nicholas Baird. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews; his many friends.

Memorial donations in memory of Eugene may be made to Disabled Vietnam Veterans.
