He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Basso Johnson; his sons, John Jr. (Kevin) and Jason (Jessica); his granddaughter Samantha; his brothers, James Jr. (Bonnie), Jerry (Linda), Jeffrey and Joseph; and his godson Patrick O'Dell. He is also survived by several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins.
