He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Earl and Margie Blair Way; his wife Natalie Way; his siblings, Richard Way, Marilyn May and Carolyn Sneyd; and his nephew Joseph Way.
He is survived by: his sister Rhonda Wroblewski (Edward); his sibling's children, Michael O'Connor (Sharon), Maureen Varnado (Randy), Richard Way, Jr., John R. Way II and Angela Fanette (Darin); his friend Paula Merrit; and also Jessica Woods. He is also survived by great nieces and nephews and several cousins.
