She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Ashok Kumar Basu and Indira Basu; her daughter Mira Messing; her sister Ananya Basu (Shamit Chakravarti); her aunt Bharati Mitra; her uncles, Sivaji Basu (Deepa) and Bharati Mitra (Mala Basu); her cousins, Sunayan Mitra, Sayan Mitra, Abeer Basu, Priyam Basu and Protik Basu; her nieces, Anagha and Priyasha Chakravarti; and her pets, Snoopy, Tomato and Mango. She was also cherished by her extended family and friends.
