The passing of Dawn E. Bernd-Steffes of Beaver Dams, New York leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on August 22, 2025 at the age of 57. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her brother Andrew Bernd; her parents, Billie Bernd and Donald Bernd; her sister Ruth Groenhout; her husband Tom Steffes; and her sons, Yoric Steffes, Tivon, Ethan and Kade.
She is survived by: Cyndy Marquez, Laura Campbell and Steve Bernd.
Because of this, she wants to "Pay It Forward" by asking that, instead of sending flowers or other items, people make donations to Metavivor, to fund ongoing research into Metastatic Breast Cancer, hopefully allowing other women to live longer and better, or to the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester which was a huge support for Dawn.
