She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwin Herne and Beverly Herne (Dunbar). She is survived by: her children, Meghan Lyons of Beaver Dams and Michael Herne of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and her sister Patricia Balcer of Painted Post. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Debbie's name may be made to the Schuyler County Humane Society, an organization close to her heart where she devoted her time as a volunteer.
