He was predeceased by: his parents, James Brooks and Ernestine Cowen; his in-laws, Victor Sr. and Elaine Russo; his sons, Thomas Brooks and Michael; his daughter-in-law Amy Harndon; and his brothers-in-law, Kenny Stednitz and Victor Russo Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Ketra Brooks of Beaver Dams, NY; his children, Don Brooks (Katie) of Horseheads, NY, Angel Stilts (Randy) of Corning, NY, Bud Woughter (Leah), Chris Woughter (Patty) of Cato, NY and Marissa Sill of Newfield, NY; his sisters, Sharon Stednitz of Green Valley, AZ and Donna Meriwether (Vince) of Lakeland, FL; his brothers-in-law, Thomas Russo (James Tudi) of Watkins Glen, NY, Al Russo (Jenna Wieslaw) of Okeechobee, FL, Martin Russo (Beth) of Beaver Dams, NY and Lewis Russo (Diane) of Maine, NY; his grandchildren, Kailie Moore (Ben Hager), Derek Moore, Drake, Aiden, Kapri, Cash, Waylon, Jalissa Woughter, Raelea and Michaela Sill; his great grandchild Ava Hager; his pet Toby; and his close friend Bella.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Carpenter's Funeral Home (14 E Pulteney St, Corning, NY 14830). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Beaver Dams Cemetery.
