She was predeceased by: her husband Christian Merrill; her son Richard Merrill; her parents, Ruth Tyler Merrill and Leonard Tyler; her parents-in-law, Francis and Orpha Merrill; her siblings, Jesse Tyler (Marjorie), Waldo Tyler (Betty) and Marjorie Tyler Merrill (William); her siblings-in-law, Noble, Frank Merrill, George Merrill, Herbert Merrill, John Mullins, Mary Brewer Tyler, Charlotte Merrill Rozell (Alvin) and Vera Tyler; and her granddaughters, Emily Sue Merrill Fedoriw, Charity Hope Cole and Seglinda Lynn Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Merrill (Lucinda), Bruce Merrill (Heather), Phillip Merrill (Heather), Virginia Merrill Taylor, Christine Paris (John III), Linda Wheat (Rodney), Deborah Dawson (Mark), Bonnie Scuteri (Vincent) and Tammy Cole (Mike); her siblings, Leonard Tyler and Jane Tyler Mullins; her sister-in-law Judith Merrill; and her close friends, Minx and Misty. She is also survived by 37 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
