It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul Roe of Bellona, New York, who passed away on March 20, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Patricia Hanson Roe; his sister Gayle Roe Searles; his daughter Amy Simmons Janney; and his grandson Christopher James Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jorgensen Roe; his children, Paul Simmons (Lynne), Farrell Simmons (Shelly), J. D. Simmons (Sue), Tammy Zona and Steven; his son-in-law Don Janney; his close friend Linda; and his siblings, Phyllis Johnson (Robert), Linda Johnson (Bernie) and Bruce (Lynne). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Keuka Comfort Care in Penn Yan .Weldon Funeral Home of Penn Yan is assisting the family.
