We are sad to announce that, on January 29, 2026, at the age of 82, JoAnn Elliott of Bergen, New York, born in Batavia, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Goundrey and Viola Brynarski Goundrey; her siblings, Robert and Michelle; and her brother-in-law Paul Nesbitt Sr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Lynn Allen of Batavia and Melissa Stringham (Brian) of Stafford; her grandchildren, Elaina Stringham, Kaylei Allen and Zachary Allen (Meghan); her great grandchildren, Hayden and Ryatt Allen; her sister Donna (Rick); and her close friend Craig Wilcox. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in JoAnn's memory may be made to East Bethany Presbyterian Church or Genesee Cancer Assistance.
