He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry LaForest and Laura LaForest (Baker); and his siblings, Adrian LaForest (Rita), Milton LaForest (Venus), Clarence LaForest (Brenda), Melvin LaForest, Leon LaForest (Marie), Ella LaFountain (Thomas), Doris Tallman (George) and Harriet (Leon).
He is survived by : his wife Jean B. LaForest (Dupras); his children, Sylvia Mansheffer (Scott) of Central Bridge, Vernon LaForest, Jr. (Carrie) of Berne and Angelique Yandon (Eric) of Berne; his grandchildren, Jade Ottman, Emma Mansheffer, Logan LaForest, James Armlin (Katlynn), Angeliena Compo-Miller (Chester), Natilee Yandon and Alanna Yandon; his great grandchildren, Mya, Karson and Riley; his siblings, Marilyn Warnock (Robert) and Bernard LaForest (Patricia); his sister-in-law Carol LaForest; and his siblings, Sylvia and Clifford LaForest. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
