She was predeceased by: her parents, Rose Somma and Antonio Somma; her husband Donald J. Cavanagh, Sr.; and her siblings, Marie Agnoli and Carmine Somma.

She is survived by: her children, Debra, Jean, Donald Jr. (Carolyn) and Thomas (Betty); and her grandchildren, Kathryn (Jamin Mucherino), Benjamin, Isabel and Charles.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Arthur F. White Funeral Home (234 Broadway, Bethpage, NY 11714). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM at the St. Martin of Tours RC Church (220 Central Ave, Bethpage, NY 11714). A burial will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Pinelawn Memorial Park (2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
