He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Julia Lange and Charles Lange; his wife Kathleen Lange; his daughter Shannon (Jonathan Olsen); his grandson Connor Olsen; his sisters, Rosemary (late Michael Finocchio), Julie (John Castronova), Nancy Lange (Sergio Lebron) and Patricia (late Robert Flynn); his brother-in-law Anthony Mancini (Jeanne); and his child Brielle.

Donations may be made in Walter's memory to the American Lung Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
