He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvatore Platania and Elsie Platania. He is survived by: his wife Josephine; his children, Linda Botsch, Joanie Chambers (Paul), Marie Shannon and Steven Platania; his grandchildren, Lauren, Sean, Christopher, Kimberly, Samantha, Nicholas, Amanda and Patrick; and his great grandchildren, Winnie, Penny, Max and Madeleine.
