Catherine Wigal Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine Wigal (Binghamton, New York), who passed away on February 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her son Thomas D. Scalise; her parents, Nick Dellapenta and Helen Dellapenta; her brother Eugene; her sister-in-law Irene Dellapenta; and her stepson Matt Wigal.

She is survived by: her husband Gary L. Wigal; her children, Marcia Ehret and James Scalise (Deborah); her grandchildren, Maxwell Ehret (Kara Geller), Marcella Sykucki (Michael), Hannah Scalise (Alec Rodriguez), Nicholas Scalise and Olivia Scalise; her great grandchildren, Sanford Ehret, Julian Ehret, Sophia Rodriguez and Eva Rodriguez; her nieces, Karen Lane (Mark), Diane Swift and Carol Dellapenta; her cousin Olga Kurty; and her close friend Jean Stewart.
