She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Harter and Grace Harter; her husband W. James Abbott; her daughter Carolyn Abbott; and her sister Camilla Sandlaben.
She is survived by: her daughter Wendy Abbott; her son-in-law Todd Vallie; her sister Carol Tarvin; and her nephews, O. J. Sandlaben and Karl Sandlaben. She is also survived by many close friends who were like extended family.
