He was predeceased by : his parents, William Masland and Lula Masland (Smith); his former life partner Carol Masland; his son Adam Masland; and his son-in-law Robert Woughter.

He is survived by : his wife Lynne Masland; his sister Ann Keely (Levering); and his children, Lorie Woughter, David Masland (Leslie), Becky Sutter (Alvin), Robin Bain (Ken), Aimee Sanchez (Dom), Robert Howard, Charles Masland (Angelina), Alicia Masland, Carlynne Wilson (Derek), Ali Masland, Kyleighana Masland, Aydin Masland and Christian Masland.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the "Ogden-Hillcrest United Methodist Church Missions Fund.".
