He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Irving Werner and Freda Werner. He is survived by: his wife Gene; and his children, Julie, Michael, Jonathan and Sean.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Francis of Assisi Church (1049 Chenango St, Binghamton, NY 13901). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
