He was predeceased by: his parents, Mae Collins and Clifford Collins; his sister Betty; and his siblings-in-law, MaryLouise and Donald.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Collins; his brother Terry; his children, Kathie Schroll (Mark), Trisha Collins (Michele Strelec), Jill Karana (Eddie), Caroline Moose (John), John Collins (Celyn) and Jean Martino; his grandchildren, John Michael (Megan), Kristie, Alyssa (Corbin), Grace, Nicholas, Peyton (Sully), Camden (Mack), Teagan, Joshua, Joseph (Jessica), Jacob and Johnna; his great grandchildren, Shane, Maizy and Baby Sullivan; his sibling's children, Judi, Linda, Wayne, Brenda, David, Bridget, Kurt, Glenn, Anna and Daniel; and his brothers-in-law, Bruce (Elizabeth) and David (Charla).
