He was predeceased by: his parents, Neil Tobin and Marjorie Tobin (Schaffer); his stepmother Vera Tobin; his aunt Dorothy Schaffer; and his siblings, Marilyn Sharretts and Jack Tobin.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Tobin (Matilda) of Long Island, NY, Mary Beth Purce (Charles) of Binghamton, NY, Michael Tobin (Megan) of Boston, MA, James Tobin (Julie) of Hornell and Ann O'Connor (Marty) of Monroe, NY; and his half-brothers, Patrick Tobin (Joanne) of Florida, Terry Tobin (Joan) of Beacon, NY and David Tobin (Margaret) of California. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
