He was predeceased by: his parents, Clem Choynowski and Millie Choynowski; his brother Bob; and his brother-in-law Charlie. He is survived by: his close friend Mary Choynowski; his children, John (Carla) and Jennifer; his grandchildren, Nicole (Vivek), Joel (Katie) and Robert; his siblings-in-law, Nancy Choynowski, Mike Herrle (Linda) and Rosetta Herrle; his nieces, Chris Choynowski and Lori McKenney (Mike); his nephew Chuck Herrle; his pet Snickers; and his wife Mary.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Twin Tiers Honor Flight, The Church of the Holy Trinity or Prospect Terrace Fire Company.
