Kent Austin Kennedy Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kent "Kenny" Austin Kennedy (Binghamton, New York), born in Mississippi State, Mississippi, who passed away on March 26, 2024, at the age of 65. Kent was a Veteran of the United States AirForce and was a registered Airman. Kent was employed at Broome Developmental Services for 30yrs. as a Direct Care Specialist. he had an appreciation for his impeccable style of dress. his love for the ocean, and coin collection. He was predeceased by his parents Howard Kennedy and Ruth Bell, Birdie Ellis (grandmother), Mildred Buchanan (sister), and Alvin Kennedy (brother).
Kent is survived by his wife of 20yrs Marguerite Kennedy, Eugene Smith (brother), Marquita Lorig (sister). Kent and Marguerite shared a blended family of ten children. Yulon Jones, Marie Osby (Michael), Tynisa Jones, Jamel Jones (Valerie) Adrian Hayes, Jearmey Kennedy, Bridget Franklin, Serena Camber, Robert Camber, and Cameron Sade Kennedy, and a host of grandchildren. His in-laws, Lucy Barnett, Robert Barnett, Dr. Major Barnett, Pastor Frank Barnett (Portia), Adam Barnett (Debbie), Cynthia Chester (Nate), Nieces and nephews, and his dearest friend Ronald Parker. He attended House of Worship Ministries.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 8th at 11:00am. Private viewing 9:15-10:00am, viewing open to public 10:00-11:00am at House of Worship Ministries 93 Riverside Drive Binghamton N.Y. Burial services with Military Honors in Spring Forest Cemetery. Celebration of Life service will be held at House of Worship Ministries.
